About us

"The Buddha Belly" takes its name from the "Buddha Belly Bamboo", a lusty specimen native to Asia, and revered by the monks who grew it as a protective fence around their homes.

Sitting comfortably between the Imperial Gardens on one side and the profusion of palms, pots, native plants and flowers of Palmland on the other, Terrey Hills can now lay claim to a unique choice of Asian influenced and inspired dishes, and a unique venue ideal for hosting weddings or special occasions.

The Buddha Belly is housed in a Balinese style structure with a series of pavilions that inter-connect through the Japanese gardens, creating an atmosphere of calm and beauty.

Prepared in the fusion method, combining taste, prsentation and an environment second to none, our chef, Daniel Tan, is never short of culinary surprises or adaptations from one day to the next.

However, one ingredient is always needed.. patience. After all an experience this individual could never happen instantly. Now relax, sit back and enjoy the total experience that is The Buddha Belly.
